Poppycock #5 Available Now

In this ad-free issue of Poppycock we cover local businesses including a beer garden at Tidbits, a music/everything cool store in Future Shock, and of course our cover story cakery, Palace Cakes. We also take a look at bootlegging in Lake Oswego (back in the day), a possible plan for reshaping SNAP benefits to support local businesses and actually deliver, ya know, “nutrition.” Lastly, we put Zara Zhi on the hunt to look at whether the Orange Line expansion set for opening next September better benefits TriMet or the city? At nearly $2 billion in cost, what could we have done to improve the lines we already have, if anything?
